Ultra Downy Fabric Softener with its Mountain Spring Scent does an excellent job of softening my clothing and towels in my washing machine. I have also used it with great satisfaction both at laundromats and in my father's clothes washing machine. It comes in a solid, heavy duty plastic container that won't break and the handle fits around your hand to make it easy to carry, too. br /br /But there's more. After you unscrew the cap, you can turn the cap upside down to use it as a measuring cup. I recommend using the full cup for your load of wash even though Downy says less than a full cup may well be enough; I like my clothes extra soft. People with itchy skin who want clothing and towels very soft would do well to use a full cup, too. It contains biodegradable fabric softener agents; and when you are washing items that have bright red or similar colors Downy will not cause those items to fade. br /br /Unfortunately, one drawback exists: DON'T use Downy fabric softener if you are washing anything that is flame resistant. It will reduce the flame resistant quality of the garment. This holds true especially for children's sleepwear or garments that are labeled flame resistant. Fabrics containing fleece and terry cloth should not be washed with this product, either. Downy fabric softener makes these fleece and terry cloth items more likely to become flammable; and that's not desirable. br /br /The Mountain Spring scent smells great. However, if you're sensitive to perfumes try using Downy in an unscented form. br /br /Overall, Downy is just about the best brand when you want to soften your things in the washing machine. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants their wash to come out really nice and soft; Downy fabric softener may be even more helpful if you have "hard" water. It may have a drawback concerning some flame resistant garments; but these can always be washed separately.br /

Downy Ultra Liquid Fabric Softener, Mountain Spring Scent, 40-Load Bottle (Pack of 6) Feature

  • For exceptional softness and freshness
  • Ultra Downy has concentrated formula so less is used per load
  • Formulated to help keep colors bright and reduce fading
  • Mountain Spring is a bold, invigorating fresh scent
Ultra Downy is the leading liquid fabric softener formulated to help keep colors bright and reduce fading by reducing the dulling effect chlorine has during the wash cycle. Most people don't think about it, but the same chemicals used to purify your water, like chlorine, can fade your clothes. The colder the water, the higher the chlorine content. Most rinse cycles today only have one choice - cold water. Help protect your clothing investment by adding Ultra Downy to every load. In comparing cost per load, not just cost per ounce, shoppers know they use less Ultra Downy because it's concentrated. Many products are not concentrated, so remember to look for load markings. Mountain Spring is an invigorating scent achieved by using a blend of crisp and tart citrus and green floral. 40 fluid ounces per bottle.

Downy - Mary -
Recieved in a timely manner and love the small bottles for storage as well as for lifting. It also fits nicely on the 18" cabinet that I have between my washer and dryer where I keep this type of product.

Process Failure - Joe Bagadonuts - Leesburg, VA
This review is for the Amazon process and not the product (since I never received the product). My order was damaged during shipping and returned by UPS to Amazon. Although Amazon notified me of the situation and credited my account; I was expecting a link that would ask "Still want product - click here" and I would be getting the product without further effort. Since they did not offer this simple feature; I did not go through the steps of re-ordering and bought a competive product on my next trip to Wally-world.
